A great ritual to perform on the eve of all hallows.

You need:

-5 purple candles
-A memento of a past time/loved one
-2 hazel twigs - up to 30 cm long
-A long piece of purple cord

Light the candles and place them in a circle large enough for you to walk around with ease. Put the memento in the centre and cross the hazel twigs over it. Trail the cord in a circle outside the candles then step inside the candles and close the circle of cord behind you. Cast your circle in your normal way. Laying aside the twigs, pick up your memento and sit for a few moments, breathing deeply. When you are ready put down the memento and take a hazel twig in each hand. Lay them across each index finger, with the thumb resting across the top, not too heavily; they should be able to wiggle slightly. Walk slowly around the circle clockwise, thinking of all those you were close to that have left. If the hazel rods cross that means that spirits are present already, if not invoke them how you have learned. Speak to them and learn from them, allowing them to leave when they please. When the last spirit has left thank them all, close the circle and ground power.

As with all other festivals, this is a day to celebrate, and this day will be easier than any as anyone can have a Halloween party!
